High Prairie is a small town in Northern Alberta, just west of Lesser Slave Lake. We have a population of about 2,500, but our town always seems to grow in the warmer summer months, as tourists come for some of the best fishing in Canada! Winagami Lake Provincial Park is another great reason to visit. It's a place to bird watch, go for a canoe ride, or just swim and relax on the sandy beach. It's a favourite for locals and tourists alike.
