What are you looking for?
We are very proud to have one of Canada’s longest-standing programs, providing customized insurance specific to hunting, fishing, and general outdoor activity-based tourism operations; tourism-based operations often have a set risk profile not very well understood by the general insurance market.
The fact is that where we live, work, and play is different, unique, and requires custom solutions. It’s difficult in itself to place a policy for exposures to snow load, vandalism for seasonal vacancies, forest fire, flood, and marine risks. Not to mention the unique liability exposure that comes with extensive and often misunderstood outdoor activities.
BrokerLink compares rates from a wide range of providers, ensuring you get the best deals available.
The saying, “Make hay while the sun shines” is often very accurate for the many tourism-based operations; most have a short or peak season to bring in revenue, making proper protection vital.
This is why we have partnered with Canada’s top insurance companies to offer products that will help you get back on your feet in the event of hardships caused by external factors.

Insurance to protect you against liability is a basic need for every business, but for resorts where individuals are sleeping, eating, and essentially living on your property, it is essential. Liability Insurance is there to protect you financially should a guest or any other resort visitor be injured, fall ill, or perish on your property.
Liability Coverage may assist with legal fees, medical bills, repair to damaged property, or help with funeral costs in the event of a death.
There are insurance options available to protect the property and structure that are normal for daily operations, including sleeping quarters, service buildings, recreational halls, fish cleaning, shower houses, and solar and water systems.
When a resort is impacted by damage such as broken water lines or fire, there is an interruption of services that causes loss of income for you and loss of wages for employees. Many Resort Insurance policies include some form of business interruption coverage. The amount of money you get from this portion of your policy depends on the size of your resort and the amount agreed upon in your contract.
Your income protection may also provide you with alternative lodgings for guests while your main property is being repaired. Campers, trailers, and other mobile lodgings may be paid for by your Resort Insurance until your main property is ready for guests.
Even the most honest and hard-working resorts face criminal activity from time to time. Criminal Insurance helps with legal fees in criminal cases against a thief or vandal and helps with the cost to replace stolen items or damaged property on your resort.
Guest property protection may fall under the scope of your liability insurance, but it is best to check. You may need special custom guest property protection depending on the size of your resort and the type of activities there.
Guest property protection ensures you are not legally responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items belonging to guests of the resort.
Many large Canadian resorts use aviation vehicles of one kind or another. Whether you have a seaplane, small fixed-wing passenger plane, or a helicopter to transport your guests, Aviation Insurance covers the following areas:
Within the aviation portion of your Resort Insurance policy, you may consider opting for Non-owned Aviation Liability insurance. This is protection for planes which are not owned by the resort, but which visit your property or are used as transportation to and from your site. If an unowned plane is damaged, your Non-owned Aviation Liability coverage keeps you from being liable for applicable costs.
Like Aviation Insurance, Marine Insurance is there to cover watercrafts used on your property. Canada is well-known for our beautiful natural bodies of water, so it only makes sense that resort visitors would travel to some of these sites hoping to get out on the open sea, river, or lake.
Marine Insurance covers a variety of watercraft, including:
Natural disasters are often not covered under general resort insurance; however, you can get extended coverage if you are based in an area which experiences:

Not usually. You will likely need extended coverage for commercial vehicles to protect any cars, trucks, ATVs, and other automobiles used on-site.
Absolutely! Your guests’ travel insurance protects them from unforeseen medical costs should they be injured at your resort. However, if your guest trips over unleveled cobblestone in your walkway or is in a motor accident while being transported in a company vehicle, your liability insurance is needed to protect you from medical (and potentially legal) fees.
