Since 2010, BrokerLink has participated in an annual organization-wide campaign to support the United Way. Through the combined efforts of our employees and generous matching from the Intact Financial Corporation (IFC) foundation, this year’s campaign raised $172,668.48. To date, BrokerLink has raised over $522,668 to support local communities across Alberta, Ontario and Atlantic Canada.

Our annual United Way campaign allows us to support local communities where we live and work. The funds raised go toward the United Way’s key focus areas of kids, communities and moving people out of poverty.

To learn more about how the United Way’s efforts impact local communities, employees at our Orleans, Ontario, branch visited United Way sponsored youth shelters at the start of this year’s campaign.

“Seeing these facilities gave our employees a firsthand look at how our donations are used to make a positive difference to local residents,” said Christine Leclerc, BrokerLink employee. “This inspired our employees to push for a successful campaign.”

Orleans employees raised funds by holding a staff Bingo, silent auction and putting competition in the office.

The efforts of the Orleans team is just one example of the dedicated and creative efforts BrokerLink employees across the organization undertook to make this year’s campaign a success. Other branch initiatives included a chili cook off, pumpkin carving contest, silent auctions, clothing drives, bake sales and raffles.

Thank you to all employees who participated in BrokerLink’s 2015 United Way campaign.
